TELEHEALTH

WHAT TO EXPECT

Veteran & First Responder (VFR) Healthcare provides confidentialtrauma-informed, and in-network treatment programs and services for mental health and substance use issues via telehealth video technology. Therapy is designed to address the unique culture, preferences, and values of military members, Veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, emergency professionals, and their families

A free assessment is the first step.

Come in, and we’ll explore your outpatient treatment needs and appropriate level of care together. It takes real courage to ask for help. We know, we’ve been there. We are a veteran and family-owned and operated organization that was founded to take on the devastating addiction and mental health crisis in America. All of us have spent years and decades helping others, and we are here to help you.

Next, a personal treatment plan is developed.

Everyone is different, so recovery is different for everyone. Your treatment plan will be developed by you and your counselor, so it best fits your needs. We begin with understanding your current situation and your past. You are an integral part of this planning.

Your participation in VFR treatment programs is unequivocally confidential.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) lays out privacy and security standards that protect the confidentiality of your health information. In terms of video conferencing, the solution and security architecture must provide end-to-end encryption and meeting access controls so data in transit cannot be intercepted. The general requirements of HIPAA Security Standards state that covered entities must:

  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all electronic protected health information the covered entity creates, receives, maintains, or transmits.
  • Protect against any reasonably-anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of such information.
  • Protect against any reasonably-anticipated uses or disclosures of such information that are not permitted or required under the privacy regulations.
  • Ensure compliance by its workforce.

Before implementing video conferencing VFR ensured that our Telehealth platform was compliant with all HIPAA regulations.

We also help you evaluate your payment options including in-network as well as out-of-network coverage.

We believe payment for treatment should never be an obstacle, which is why we are in network with most major insurance plans, including:

  • TRICARE
  • VA Community Care Network
  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • Anthem BlueCross BlueShield

  • UnitedHealthcare
  • Empire BlueCross BlueShield
  • Highmark BlueCross BlueShield
